I really enjoyed this show!
Reference: Film Junk Podcast: Episode 973: Carry-On (2024). I was very disappointed to see critics say that this show is only in the middle. I watched it and I can only say that most critics are wrong. The episodes could have been longer, honestly that’s my only complaint.
It’s also a quick watch
If you like video games, definitely check this show out. Now I want to play some of these games again after seeing their episodes. I would imagine that the whole point of Secret Level is to attract new players, and in that respect I think it succeeded. There was heart in a lot of the episodes, which I also really liked.
Hopefully this show does well enough to warrant a season 2
If they do make a season 2, the only thing I think they need to improve on is the length of the episodes. I really, really wished they were at least 20 minutes long. Overall though, I’m grateful we got this show because video games mean a lot to a lot of people, myself included. Thanks to everyone who worked hard to bring us this show.
